The solar tour is over. I missed it myself, as I was collecting solar rays on a Florida Gulf beach. The water was a balmy 72 degrees, a nice relief from the 90-degree heat reflecting off the white sandy beach. Now I am back with a finish up on the Interview with David Boyd, Executive Director of Redwood Coast Energy Authority (RCEA): John Ash: Lets talk about the Energy Authority. What does the RCEA do? David Boyd: RCEA is a local joint powers authority. We are located at 517 Fifth St. in Eureka between F and G. It's a partnership of all seven incorporated cities and the county government. Their goal is to help develop sustainable energy -- efficient, clean, renewable, and affordable energy for Humboldt County. We have been in existence since 2003, and for the first several years we were an information-only program.

Twice recently, Crouch and her children have found out their landlord plans to sell the home they had been renting. Rent has been costly, homes are scarce, and each successive search for a new residence has been more difficult. "I'm just having a really hard time," said Crouch, who works at New Mexico State University- Carlsbad. "There are lots of other people like me, I am sure." Rent has skyrocketed to around $800 a month, Crouch said, and she is currently unable to afford or locate suitable lodging for herself and her children. Organizations like Habitat for Humanity and the Department of Housing and Urban Development can only help so many people. "We need some more community awareness about this. I'm not the only one in this situation," she said. "We need it (more affordable housing) now.
Every cell constantly produces a whole arsenal of proteins. The instruction what is to be built comes from the cell nucleus: this is where the DNA is stored, the heredity molecule in which, so to speak, the construction blueprints for all cellular proteins are stored. If a particular protein is to be produced, the appropriate command is 'copied' in the cell nucleus. The copy consists of a DNA-like substance, the RNA. Via pores in the cell nucleus it reaches the cell plasma. The individual parts of the desired protein are put together there on a kind of assembly line. In this process the assembly line follows exactly the blueprint which is stored in the relevant RNA. This method has an Achilles heel: 'enemies' can misuse the assembly line to produce their own proteins by faking the commands.
While Michael Moskow said some additional firming may be necessary, the usually hawkish William Poole indicated that he would back a rate cut if the economy stumbled. Elsewhere, the yen was little changed by the expected Bank of Japan decision to keep borrowing costs unchanged. Meanwhile, the BoJ's governor Toshihiko Fukui said he is not ruling out a possible interest rate increase before the end of the year, noting that the Japanese economy is expected .
